baby blessing... NOt our baby :)... nor are we having a baby... anytime soon

We had the opportunity to go to a friend's baby blessing. Unfortunately we got lost on the way and made it just in time to watch everyone sit down. Bummer. Afterward we got the chance to meet Nara Jane Morgan. She is such a sweet heart and is going to be just like her mommy and daddy very tall (mom 5'11" dad 6'8"). She is 2 months old and her feet already fit my entire palm of my hand. Anthony is pretty smitten with her. I told him not to get too many ideas :)

Working Hard:
this is a pic of my little bro and I. To bad it came out all blurry. For some reason I don't have very many pictures of him and I so I kept this one.
This is my dad (the one standing) and my step-dad (the one squatting) Both of their names is Robert and they both go by Bob. ha ha true story. They were so nice to come and help me

Craft Room

Before:
Here is our beautiful basement before. It was a nice shade of pee yellow. There was a big green chalkboard on the wall, and some brown gross carpet.

After:
My dad and I worked really hard on putting in a new wood floor, base board, and a new light switch that lights up.

After with Decorations:
I was so excited when my rug came and it actually matched my curtains I already purchased.
I'm still working on finishing up my shelfs for paper.

I searched high and low to find matching boxes to fit in my entertainment center. I found some at Joanns, but they were kid cubby hole shelfs that are supposed to sit on their sides. I found 4 at the Riverdale store and obviously needed quite a few more. I had to go to Taylorsville and Draper to get the rest, but was still one short. I came up with this genius idea of taking a bottom piece that fits inside of one of the cubbies and hot glueing it to the back of a box. Now I can keep my wax pot plugged in and ready to go anytime, but no one can see it.

Little story on the TV. If you didn't know Anthony sells electronics so he was able to get us a really good deal on my TV, but the day he bought it he didn't tell me. It was a Monday night and Anthony worked until 5. I have a math class from 5:30 until 7:20 Pm. So I get out of my math class and call him to see what is going on. He is watching Chuck on TV and I was getting annoyed because men in general have a hard time watching and talking. They just don't have that natural built in capability to multi task like women do. I asked him if he had a chance to start dinner and he replied back "that he hadn't had time." I was a bit annoyed and ended the conversation. Once I got home there was a Christmas gift bag sitting on the table with 3 remote controls in it. Anthony had gone down and set up my new TV and also hooked up my Super Nintendo, DVD, and surround sound.
