3 year anniversary

Anthony and I just celebrated our 3 year anniversary. I can't believe it, doesn't that seem like such a looong time :) ?

We decided to get away for the weekend and headed up to Park City. Our weekend went as follows....

Friday after we got off work: we went up through the Weber Canyon and past the Morgan exit to Taggart's Grill. It is one of my favorite restaurants. We don't go there too often because of the drive, but I highly recommend it. They have the best desserts and everything I have tried there is soooo good. We finished our drive after dinner all while listening to "New Moon". The "New Moon" part was all Anthony's idea. He won't read the books, but he doesn't mind listening to them in the car. Ha ha I'm probably going to get in trouble for this tid bit of information.

We stayed at the West Gate Resorts.

Saturday: We walked around the new part of Park City. Anthony bought me a cute card holder that is pink with white polk a dots (I'm very excited about that if you can't tell), We ate lunch at a fancy restaurant known as Quiznos, we got much needed massages at a day spa, we rode the alpine coaster, stopped at The Rocky MOuntain Chocolate Factory for a caramel apple drizzled with chocolate and I got a little crazy and ordered a $3 truffle. We also went swimming in the 4th floor "adult only pool" that included a waterfall, steam room, sauna, and hot tub. *side note on the pool* Have you ever noticed when your a kid you don't care who is in the pool? You just cannon ball yourself right on in and swim with whomever is already there. When your an adult you play the musical chair game. Anthony and I got in the hot tub just as an older couple was switching to the pool. We eventually moved to the pool, but made sure to stay on our half. The older couple ended up switching to the hot tub again. It was the same as the sauna and steam room. The doors were see through so people would check to see if others were in there and then wait till they left before they would go in. I think I would rather be a kid again and just cannon ball it.

After swimming with the old people we got ready and went out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant. I think it was called Baja Cantina. You would think I would remember the name since we ate there two nights in a row.

Joseph and Kalee our brother and sister-in-law ended up coming up and spending the night so we could all play the next day.

Sunday (our actual anniversary): We woke up and went back to the "adult pool only" and played musical pools once again. After our fill of chlorine we got ready and went to Ruby Tuesdays for some lunch. Kalee and I made a plan and we all stuck to it. We hit up the first half of the outlet malls and then took a break to head to Coldstone Ice Cream and then headed back to hit the rest of the outlets. Joseph and Kalee had never been to the Olympic Park so we drove up there and happened to catch some of the skiers practicing. Kalee had never been to the old main street of Park City so of course we had to introduce her to this important part of restaurants and shops. After a hardday of walking and shopping we ended up at the Baja Cantina for some much needed Mexican food. Just as you think we must have been all worn out we ended up putting on our swimsuits and headed back to the "adult only pool" to rest our toesies in the hot tub.

Half the pictures we took are on Joseph and Kalee's camera, but here are a couple.

This is what happens when you take boys shopping for to long. They start dressing up and doing Michael Jackson impersonations.

Kalee and I found this pretty moose. Notice we are kissing it on the side of the cheeks because it is a girl moose. I'm not quite sure why I'm looking off to the side. Must have been a better looking moose over there

We took a ride on the FREE trolley that goes up and down the old main street.

Joseph in his dead sprint with the Olympic Torch

Hey Hey look at me I'm driving a bob sled.

Monday: Kalee and Joseph had left Sunday night so Anthony and I got ready and packed up all of our stuff and headed home. Of course on the drive we picked up where we left off on "New Moon". We went home and unpacked said hello to Chloe and then went out to lunch at Red Robin. I really feel like I gained a couple of "L" "B"s this weekend. Chloe was a bit mad at us for leaving her for the long weekend, but she had a lot of fun staying with Krista. Thanks again for watching her Krista.

I'm addicted

Today I went in for a dental check-up. I can never go in and just have my teeth cleaned and be done. A dental check is never a dental check-up for me it always has to include some kind of filling or drilling or something crazy. Anytime I have work done I always request the laughing gas. That is one of the qulifications my dentist has to meet. Must have laughing gas... check. Must have tvs in the ceiling.... check. Must be nice and a people person... check. Dr. Clint Iverson is awesome I highly recommend him.

Well I went in and listened to the hygenist talk, because obviously I have a million things in my mouth and can't talk back. Dr. Iverson checked and noticed a tiny little cavity and since he had a cancellation right after me they got me in right away. As soon I was on that glorious gas I felt like I was as light as a feather. The best way I can describe it is an out of body feeling. I am there, but I feel like I am standing watching myself get work done. They left me alone after he did the numbing shot and pretty soon I felt like I was a black ninja. Like I could fly through the air and karate chop. I noticed I was getting a little bit more loopy feeling, but when the doc asked I said no I'm fine. He put a little water in my mouth and told me to suck on the sucker, but embarrasingly enough I felt like I had no control of myself and ended up spitting the water all over and it ran down the sides of my face. Whats worse is I not only did that once, but twice. We ended up turning the gas down.

A little later he asked me questions and I anwered back, but everytime I talked I felt like my voice sounded funny. He must have noticed by a look on my face or something because he asked me "do you feel like you sound different when you talk?" I said yeah rather dazily, then he told me that he always thinks his voice sounds funny when he is on the gas for any dental work, and not manly either. I thought about it for a second and then said "mine does." and then broke into a fit of giggles that I couldn't stop.

Yep lauging gas the best thing ever!!!!!

Really.....

k0983815.jpg

So I wake up this morning bright eyed, bushy tailed, and ready for the day. I get ready, pick out an outfit according to what shoes I feel like wearing. Today it was my green and white ones with the big bows on them. I sit down and eat a bowl of the ole captain (captain crunch) and then realize, "Oh yeah, I was going to make an advertisement for an e-mail blast at work". I started making that and then before I realized it I was late for work. I jumped in my car and headed down the road. I called to let work know that I was going to be a couple of minutes late. Of course my first patient was already there and waiting, because they are better at getting to work on time than I am. As I'm about two minutes away I start going up a hill and my car has a blinking light that comes on and says off trac????? My first thought is oh no what if I go down the hill and have no brakes. I pull over to the side of the road and just think maybe if I turn it off and turn it back on it will reset or something. Well it wouldn't start back up. I called my dad, work, and Anthony. I did end up making it to work and after a poopy morning ended up having a really great day.

I did find out my problem. I ran out of gas. Surprise! Surprise! that would be my. Hold on let me count. This would be my 5th time since I have had a driver's license. I did get a lecture from my dad, which I wasn't to happy about, but I deserved. My boss came and picked me up and took me to work. I'm lucky to have such a nice boss.

All my patients were awesome and I made awesome tips. I think all but one patient re-scheduled to come back and see me. I sold the crap out of the skin care products today. Like I said for having such a blah morning it was a good day. I had one lady tell me about her mom who is 88 and dying from cancer and only has 2-3 months to live. The lady and I didn't click right away so I didn't know how the rest of the appointment was going to go, but we ended up chatting and having fun. When I took her to the front to re-schedule and ring up her product she told the receptionist "that she will for sure come back even if it is to just sit with me for an hour, because I was just so dang cute" I don't think that lady realized how much she made my day.

I had the best french fries from Gridellis and they make the best fry sauce.

A sales rep came in and brought us Vanilla Bean Frappuccinos. The cute lady I work with named Kelly is my life couch :) Today's lesson was we take off the whip cream on any drink because that adds 12 grams of fat to the drink. I don't know what I am going to do without her for two weeks while she is in Paris???

Well now it is almost 7:00 pm so my day is not quite over, but I will try to behave myself and not get in any more shenanigans.
