In a Panic

I think Chloe has been missing Anthony a lot so she keeps getting herself into trouble.

Anthony has been working 2 jobs the last 3 months. One is still at RC Willeys and the other is at the Sleep Institute of Utah where he is working as a rep in the Salt Lake Tooele area. He is doing both right now until the end of the year then he will be full-time at the Sleep Institute and will quit RC Willeys. So he has been working from 9 am to 9 pm everyday and usually leaves at 8 to get to Salt Lake.

Chloe and I both miss him, but she has tried to choke on a bone and run away to get his attention. I had to perform the doggy heimlich maneuver to save her. I called Anthony because I didn't know what to do she started choking on one of those dinky Dingo bones and she just plopped over. Luckily I was there because he didn't know what to do.

Then the other night I had gone Christmas shopping and grocery shopping. It was raining when I was bringing all the bags in, so I propped open our back door and had the car in the garage so I could leave the trunk open and not get everything all wet (our garage is not attached to our house). I brought in all the groceries, put them away, and started making dinner before I realized "where the heck is Chloe." Whenever there is human food she is bound to be right at your feet. I started calling her name and looked in all of her usual sleeping spots, but I could not find her. Then I went outside thinking maybe she is out in the yard. I had shut the gate so I thought maybe she was just chilling outside in the chilly air. When she wasn't out there I started to panic

The last time I had seen her was when she was following me in and out of the house bringing in all the goods. I slipped Anthony's shoes on (only thing by the door), grabbed a flash light, and started walking up and down the street yelling her name. After I made it all the way to the end and saw no sign of her I called Anthony. If you ask him he will say I was emotional when he talked to me. Well, yeah I was, but I was not crying. I was just worried my little girl was outside with cars that go way to fast up and down the street. It was about 8:00 so he left work and came home.

As I was walking home I said a little prayer and immediately had the urge to look in my garage. I kind of thought it was silly, since I was sure she would have barked if she heard me call her name that many times. I had a really strong feeling to look there though, and I thought if anything I could get my car out and drive around to look for her. Sure enough though, when I opened the garage door out bolted this fury four legged creature. She was so happy to see me and just as I found her Anthony pulled in after me and she was even happier to see him.

Anyway...

We actually got our Christmas tree put up this year. So our family room looks like Christmas threw up in the corner. I am glad that we ended up putting it up. There's something thats so special when you come home to a house warmed by little white Christmas lights. I bought two automatic timers so every night at 6 the Christmas lights come on and go off right at 10 for bedtime. We watched A Christmas Story and Elf while decorating. Chloe was plum tuckered out after doing so much of nothing.

I was a little lazier this year and didn't put up my other tree, but now I'm just spoiled by this tree. The other one is really pretty when its put up, but you have to fluff out each individual branch and put each individual branch in its color coded location. Then wrap the whole tree in lights. I tend to go over board with lights and I think there is about 15 strands I bought for that tree. My new tree comes in 3 chunks (chunks is such a grody word, don't you think) the whole thing is pre-lit and and all the branches fold down in levels and they stay pretty much fluffed. So this year we will just honor the other tree with a picture from a previous year :)

Were Rich

Well Monopoly money rich.

We did a little Christmas shopping last Saturday and Dillards had a deal that if you bought something in their make-up/perfume counter area you could be in the money tent. Anthony hopped in. They told him that whatever stuck on his clothes is fair game and whatever he caught and shoved in his pockets. They gave him the thumbs up and he very calmly looking he started grabbing at the money that swirled around him

We ended up with 160 paper $1 bills. The red table in the side of these pictures was the prize table. We got a bunch of boxes of samples, yipee! At least the boxes they were in will be nice to wrap presents in. She also threw in a Nautica bag, that will be great for vacations. Then Anthony got a can of tennis balls that stunk so bad when he popped the lid open :(

After this little adventure we we went and saw the movie Tangled. It was really cute! I recommend it. If you haven't seen it yet, don't read on, because it will ruin the movie for you.

I'm really curious so when he chops her hair at the end of the movie is she now stuck with that ugly little choppy bob? When the bad lady at the first of the movie cut her hair that little brown piece stayed short, so I'm thinking she is now stuck with it, since obviously that one piece never grew like the rest of her hair.

Unknown Caller

I repeatedly have had this number from Miami Florida call me since the day before Thanksgiving. Every time I answer it is a spanish speaking person. Since the only thing I know is Me llamo es Elicia and Hola I have been getting really frustrated. The caller never calls when someone is around so I can hand the phone to someone that communicate with them either. I have now taken things into my own hands. First off I re-submitted my number to the do not call list then I made a handy little paper I carry with me in my pocket. It goes as follows:

I was talking to Anthony when this number called and I got excited to try out my handy spanish sidekick. I got through I don't speak spanish. Does someone speak English. The guy said he spoke a little and boy was he right. I could barely understand him. I think it is a company trying to sell a diet pill. I called Anthony back and he wasn't to happy. Darn it, he probably will start monitoring the accounts even closer now, so much for buying him anything sneaky for Christmas. I promised I didn't do any weird shenanos, which honestly I didn't, and then he laughed, hung up, and went back to work. Days like today sure make me wish I spoke more than just English.

Christmas Shopping

While in a gym class awhile ago the teacher asked "does anyone have their Christmas shopping done?" Mind you this was well before Thanksgiving, could even have been the week after Halloween. I have never been one to get my Christmas shopping done early, but this year I thought I'm going to do it before Christmas Eve. So far this is how it has gone. One for you, two for me. One for you, five for me. I went to a store, that I saw these cute gloves that open on the tip of the pointer finger and thumb (thought it would be great for my iphone). I went to get the gloves, but ended up spending $106.00 I spent $20 on a friend, $86 on me, and left without even buying my gloves. It is the most wonderful time of the year :)

School is so close to ending I can almost see the light. I got my 2 projects done, thank goodness. Just 3 tests to go!

Thankful for Life

Turkey day is just around the corner, and I'm starting to get really annoyed with all the commercials for Black Friday. In Institute we talked about what some of my fellow classmate's Thanksgiving traditions are. I decided I don't have any amazing Thanksgiving traditions besides balancing 3 families. I do usually go to the Turkey Burn at Gold's Gym that morning. This year I think I will try to make home-made cinnamon rolls after ward. Perfect match, don't you think?

Well here is what has been going on lately:

I purchased 4 new pairs of shoes. 2 pairs of black high heels, 1 pair of black realistic shoes, and 1 very adorable brown pair of Fergilicious Boots.

Went to the eye doctor , found out my contact RX has changed a bit. When I walked out there were more leaves on the trees then when I walked in.

I have 2 Final Projects I'm working on. 1 for Photoshop and 1 for Adobe Flash Player. Took my 4th math test today, only 1 more test to go.

We are very Excited to have Tyler become part of our family. Becca and Tyler are engaged!

Saw the 7th Harry Potter and loved it. I thought they did a very good job portraying the book. Not a very happy uplifting movie in any way, but highly recommend it for the Harry Potter fan.

I vant to suck your blood

Went to Pioneer Theater Monday night and saw...It was really good. A fun Halloween outing. I went with a friend from work (Amanda the one in the gray) and some of her friends. Check out our scary fangs. If we smiled to big you could see our real teeth, since the fangs were little kid fangs :)

Before the show we went to the Melting Pot for some tasty grub. It was the first time that any of us have been there. I highly recommend it!!! If for nothing else, but the dessert. Milk chocolate melted with crunchy peanut butter and then strawberries, cheesecake, oreo crusted marshmallows, pound cake, and bananas dunked in the chocolate. My mouth is watering just thinking about it again.

Family Trip to San Francisco

When I was younger I vowed I would never go on a family road trip ever again. Growing up we made many many family road trips. I have had my fair share of being car sick, puked on, and having to pee so bad I thought I was going to explode. This road trip was no different, the only difference is we are just older and a lot bigger. Also our car tv is not like a giant box sitting on the bucket seat with a vcr, but instead a little portable dvd player.

We went to San Francisco for a cousin's wedding. The wedding was really pretty. It was at a hotel that was right on the wharf.

The first day that we arrived we went to Alcatraz island. This is my mom, me, and my brother Cody on the fairy ride over.

I have been to San Francisco 3 times now, but this is the first time I have ever been over to the Cliff House Ruins


I warned him! that if he did that I would post his picture on the world wide web.

This is some of the remains of the pools that were fed by the ocean. It was pretty neat to go into the gift shop and see some of the old photos of what the original Cliff House's looked like and how big they were inside.

Overall the trip was fun; and although being in the car that long is miserable, I do enjoy the memories that I gain from such torture. For example stopping to get gas after midnight and the inside of the gas station was closed. So Cody and I ran across the street to another gas station just to find it closed. There was a Jack in the Box, but only the drive through was open. My mom had to drive us 15 minutes out of the way to find a Wal-Mart, but we got there just as they were telling us they were closing. What??? Wal-Mart closes. Luckily they let us do a mad dash in and take care of business. Or there was the spot in the trip where I was in the backseat with Cody and Austin and Anthony were in middle seat. Cody got my attention to show me Anthony rubbing his leg. We started laughing, no wait giggling like girls, it was so funny at the time. Anthony thought he was rubbing my leg.

New Family Member

I have a new sister and Chloe and has a new aunt.

My mom got a shitzu Maltese mix on Saturday and named her Abby. She is very cute. Chloe wasn't quite sure what to think of her. All Abby wanted to do was sleep and Chloe just wanted to play and play and play.

Anthony 28th Birthday

Anthony turned 28 years old on August 19th.

For my 28 year old husband's birthday he wanted to go to the zoo. So off we went. My little brother Austin came along and so did Anthony's parents. The day started out looking nice, but after one elephant and a bird show the rain came.

Anthony's umbrella was broken in about 3 different places.

All though we were wet and cold it was still a fun day.
