Sunday night in Simon La Casa

Memorial Day weekend is such a long weekend, for Anthony, since he doesn't get to celebrate and relax like the rest of us. Instead he gets to spend a lot of time at RC Willeys. So Sunday we played hookey and stayed home all day long and hung out in our pjs.

I wandered down to my favorite room in the whole house. My room, and did some scrapbooking.

I am all caught up except for our 5K pics that I need to get from my mother-in-law. I will post those as soon as I get those. I also need to do Anthony's Graduation pictures. As I was looking through those I realized I never even posted pictures of him graduating. What a bad wife. Well here it goes all the pictures I should have posted, but didn't....

Anthony's Graduation

Bachelor in Technical Sales with an emphasis in asian studies (those who don't know, Anthony is fluent in Thai and Lao)

I made him this beautiful poster during the long winded speaker at his graduation. Every little kid that walked by me eyed the candy. I had to text Austin to come out and stand guard. I even had an older gentleman offer to buy my candy poster from me. If anyone needs a side job sell candy at a college graduation!!!

Afterward our families meet up and had a late lunch at Ligoris Pizza. The waitress was ornery, but the food was good as always.

Las Vegas for the CES Electronic Show

In January Anthony and I joined Terra and Aaron for a road trip to Vegas. Terra and I joined the boys for one day walking around looking at TVs, but after a couple of them you soon start to think you have seen them all. There was tons of Japanese people there, and they must be used to being packed like sardines, because they sure know how to push their way around. Lady Ga Ga was there and so was Taylor Swift launching their new products.

We did get free VIP tickets to see John Legend courtesy of RC Willeys.

There was a surprise appearance by Stevie Wonder.

I got to gamble a little bit and loose a lot. Oh well, I had fun.

I meet a new boyfriend.

But decided I like my old one better.

New Family Addition

In March Jessica became a Simon. Growing up in a family of all boys it is so exciting for me that I get to have 5 sisters. Jessica is so pretty and looked gorgeous on her special day, and Thomas looked handsome too.

Christina also got married in March. She looked extremely beautiful. I have to say I'm shocked she got married, I thought I would never see the day. Her husband, Trevor, is a great guy and I am so happy for the two of them. I just wished she didn't live so far away (California).

After my trip down memory lane Anthony and I enjoyed just laying around, and so did Chloe.

Have you ever seen a dog sleep like this? What a weirdy.

I cleaned out the fridge and found a tupperware full of chocolate that we used in our fondue fountain. I went to throw it away, but just couldn't.

Strawberries + Chocolate = one happy fat couple.

Anthony begged me to wax his eyebrows (no lie) So my scrapbook room became a spa in the basement.

I don't like pickles

Actually that's a lie. I love pickles I just don't like when I get into a pickle.

The other day at work I was talking with a patient and she starts asking me if I am into astrology. The question was random, it was kind of like, "oh how was your weekend, are you into astrology?" I wasn't quite sure about what she meant, but after chatting for a minute she told me her friend is very into the astrological signs. The only thing I really know about that is that I am a cancer. She said she knew a lot

about cancers since her friend is a cancer.

Well I learned that ......

Cancer in a Nutshell:

Cancer is a mysterious sign, filled with contradictions. They want security and comfort yet seek new adventure. They are very helpful to others yet sometimes can be cranky and indifferent. I have a Website Design class I go to Tuesday and Thursday in the morning. Tuesday I go straight from school directly to work. Thursday I either go to school right after the gym or I hit the gym right after school. Both days I do not wear my wedding ring. Nothing against my wedding ring, but at work I wear gloves all day and am washing my hands constantly. At the gym my fingers swell up like kielbasas and my ring starts strangling my ring finger.

I was coming out of class the other day and this guy starts talking to me. I didn't think much about it. My main focus was don't breathe on him you still need to brush your teeth (I ate breakfast on the way over to class, stuck a piece of gum in, and planned on brushing my teeth at work) and I was also focusing on getting to my car quick before the meter ran out and getting myself to work on time.

The next time I went to class he came out when I did and started chatting with me.

him: I have a big favor to ask you

me: Sure, what's up

him: I won't be in class on Thursday, and was wondering if I can have your number to find out what we did.

*pause* okay in my brain I'm thinking is he hitting on me? Is this a really good way to ask for my number? Don't make a big deal out of it Elicia this is just a class thing

me: sure its 801-blah-blah

him: great, thanks. What was your name

me: Elicia. E L I C I A

him: With an E? I like that.

me: thanks, well I'll see ya later.

Oh I'm so cool and so suave. bah hah ha ha ha. Good thing I don't date anymore. I enjoy just going on dates with my husband and not worrying about every little thing I do and say, and if a toot squeaks out he still love me. I never do that though. No girl does we are all delicate flowers.

That night he text me and asked me questions about class. I was to busy watching Glee to answer back right away, so after Glee was over we had a text chat about some assignments. Here is the very end of the conversation:

him:"Sweet well I guess we'll just go off what it says online...Hows your daybeen!?

me: "That's probably the best :) well I'm heading into a movie so I'll see you in class.

Didn't really go to a movie. I was actually sitting on the couch in my pjs talking myself out of eating a bowl of ice cream.

Anthony told me that I am the worst at avoiding awkward confrontation. Here is my solution wear my ring and hopefully he notices.

Blonde Moment

Anthony's idea of yard work is "all do it tomorrow". Love him though, but then our yard ends up looking like a jungle. Saturday after the Ogden race I got ready for a day of yard work, since it was so nice outside. I loaded up on sunscreen and headed outside. A lot of death occurred as I ripped out those horrible weeds.

Then Chloe and I hopped in the car, can't go anywhere without my co-pilot, and we headed off to Lowes.

After we returned Chloe got lost in the grass/weeds,

so I decided I have time and the lawn really needs it, I'll mow it and hope I don't kill any sprinkler heads. I checked the gas and squished the little black squishy button in and started her up. Things went well for awhile.

Then things came to a stop. I couldn't figure out what was going on. I checked the underside to make sure nothing was clogged and made sure once again there was gas. Everything looked okay, but I could smell kind of a burntish smell. I then checked the oil and realized we probably have never changed it since we have owned the lawnmower, oops. It was low and a dark black. Well here comes the blonde moment instead of emptying the old oil, I just decided to add more oil, it did say it was low. Well I added too much I guess, and had a black smoke cloud surrounded me and fogged up the whole back yard. Good Work Elicia!

On a happier note I did plant this pretty flower

and I planted a whole row of raspberries, strawberries, cucumbers, green beans, snow peas, jalapenos, yellow tomatoes, big boy tomatoes, roma tomatoes, and mini tomatoes. I also have a porch planter with red, yellow, and green peppers. If everything goes well we will have a very yummy summer.

The girl who cried "HeeeeeeeLp"

HeeeeeLp yelled across the house in a rather whiny obnoxious drawn out voice is something you commonly hear at our household. Today it was because my toothbrush batteries were running low and I couldn't reach the very top shelf to get new ones. Most commonly you may hear:

me: HeeeeeLp

Anthony: What?

me: Come and lay with me..... I'm cold

me: HeeeeeLp

Anthony: what babe?

me: (standing freezing in the shower) I forgot to grab my towel from the door

me: HeeeeeLp

Anthony: yes my love

me: Ummm were out of toilet paper and I need some asap

me: HeeeeeLp

Anthony: What do you need?

me: are you thirsty?

Anthony: no, not really.

me: Oh okay

Anthony: are you?

me: Oh well since you asked I think I am. I would like some water in a tall glass cup and lots and lots of ice. Please and thank you.

I'm kind of a brat, but that good hubby of mine always takes care of me, and always has a smile on his face. Thanks babe. Love you lots.

New Additions

This whale flippered fan is a proud new addition to our bedroom. It even has a dimmer and speed control. We are so high tech
My dad gave me this mirror to hang up. He said it is an antique that he had bought years ago. Antiques are fun. I'll take it.

Do you see anything funny about this door? I notice it every day that I am at work, but maybe my mind is just in the gutter.

Can't you see it? it totally looks like someone had some paint on their bum and backed into the door. Best thing yet its the staff bathroom :)

Just thought I would share

I have these blooming all among my weeds that are spilling out of my front flower/weed bed. The weeds just weren't doing them justice so I brought them inside so I can look at them and wish for spring and warm weather.
